Metelec is a specialist stockholder and manufacturer of copper busbars, copper bar, copper profiles and copper components.
Being the UK logistics arm of Gindre Duchavany, the largest manufacturer of copper extruded bars in Europe. Gindre extrude in excess of 55, 000 tonnes of copper profile per annum and have a turnover in excess of €350, 000, 000. We are positioned as the strongest and most competitive supplier of both plain bar and finished formed busbars and associated componentry.
As the name implies, Metelec were established over a decade ago as a specialised supplier of copper alloys to the electrical industry. From our central warehouse in the Midlands we offer a stocking service second to none. This has been improved over the years with a satellite warehouse in the South East.
From our beginnings as a pure copper bar stockholder we have evolved into a complete copper alloy stockist with extensive stocks of copper, brass and bronzes in all forms. With over 1000 tonnes of non-ferrous metals spread across our three warehouses the likelihood we will have what you want, when you want it is high, but should you have a requirement for any non standard sizes we have reliable mill sources that can usually supply specials on a short lead time.
We cater for any order quantity and have our own fleet of transport, backed up with overnight freight carriers we can deliver anywhere within the UK in 24 hours.
Quality is of paramount importance and to that end all stock items are traceable back to producer certification in accordance with BSEN ISO 9002:Pt2
